Slick! Someone’s slithering slowly, subtly over slicing swords of salving sunder. Still, to see a summer spectacle of sunrise symbols so seamlessly strong still strikes this self. Sidling southwards to the sight of a somewhat substantial stronghold; such springs of sunlight shine despite ceaseless slander of superb strength from stupid stammering sore stitches of spammers. Special? So we seem! So sorry. Self-introductions sometimes seem to be not my specialty. You may call me Sylvan, or Silva, my screen name, as you specify.

I'm 20 years old, and live in New South Wales, Australia. I'm a writer with experience in website design, and I come from an alternative/against the grain background. I have a strong interest in esoteric subjects as listed among my interests, and in a few I don't list there. Usually, if it's esoteric, I'll understand some part of it, these days, though I do approach every new art of that type with a kind of open-minded yet sceptical style, looking for proof in a convincing form before believing anything totally. I will try it before I knock it.

Politically, I am an environmentalist with strong views on the rights of all living things, on the balance of the world's food-chain and how responsible, powerful and vulnerable that makes us. I believe in love, not war, and find it difficult to tolerate those who think it's a solution to pre-emptively strike/declare war upon an opposing country because of a tiny group of people in that country with extreme views. In fact, there are few political issues I don't have an opinion about; I am ready and willing to discuss such matters unless I happen to be very tired, or unless I feel it is putting strain on a friendship to constantly debate.

I write fantasy-style for the most part, but it seems I can write several other kinds of fiction (Australian fiction, short stories, poetry) and some non-fiction (reviews especially for games, debate pieces and essays) quite well. I'm currently pursuing a career in the field of writing, studying a Bachelor of Arts course majoring in that field at Southern Cross University.

In terms of hobbies, I especially enjoy internet forums, anime (Bleach especially), online messaging, video and computer games, reading, working out in the gym and the odd walk around town. You'll find that I can do many of these at the same time.

Just note that I like to know you on an instant messaging program before I will friend you back here on LJ, because my blog can be very personal at times.
